The value plotted for any specifc (X, Y) pair is the ratio of selection pressure at codon Y in the presence of an amino acid mutation at codon X to the selection pressure at codon Y in the absence of any mutation at codon X. Stark increases in this ratio are readily visible as dark blue squares. Clicking on any colored square will bring up a page containing further details of the specific pairwise interaction depicted.
